Setting Up

  1. To run jGRASP and develop Java programs, you will need the the JDK with Java version 1.5 (JDK 5) or higher. Sun's JDK and JRE are available here. Download and install JDK 7 (or JDK 6. Functionally, 6 or 7 are both fine for our purposes). Mac OS X users can download Java here. Mac OS X Lion users can download Java here
  2. After installing Java, download jGRASP here. The survey at the top is optional. Double click on the downloaded file and follow the prompt to install.
  3. If you so choose, you can install Eclipse or Dr.Java as an alternative. Keep in mind these are secondary options.
