Dave MacQueen of Bell Labs just dropped in.  Over the last year or so
he has been implementing a new Standard ML compiler that is just now
in beta release.  Dave will be talking about the compiler at 1pm
in the 2nd Floor Lounge (informal-- no slides etc); anyone interested
is welcome to attend.
