Short Bio:

Insup Lee is a Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Science at the University of Pennsylvania, and is the Director of Systems Design Research Lab (SDRL). He received the B.S. degree in mathematics from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, in 1977, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1983. His research interests include distributed programming, formal methods and tools, real-time computing, and software engineering for embedded systems, wireless systems, and E-commerce systems.

He has consulted for companies on software engineering projects and has advised E-commerce startup companies. He also has supervised numerous senior design and independent study projects on Web-based applications.
