SortItem.java, which is part of the Sorting applet, uses deprecated AWT API and should be rewritten for use with the JDK 1.1. First, it uses two deprecated AWT methods: Thesize
andresize
methods which have been renamed togetSize
andsetSize
, respectively. Second, it uses the old event handling mechanism (it overridesmouseUp
