to understand the possibilities and limitations of electronic commerce
systems.
Course Description:
E-commerce is one of the fast growing areas of computer and network
applications. Although E-commerce systems can be built using
different functional components, there is a set of concepts,
principles, and technologies that are important in developing reliable
E-commerce systems. The purpose of this course is to introduce and
overview such concepts, principles, and technologies. This course will
cover several topics, including architectures of e-commerce systems,
Internet and the Web infrastructure, e-commerce software components
and programming tools, scalability, security, and payment systems.
